"ZA x Uber Relief Program” supports Uber drivers affected by the pandemic with financial assistance
During the pandemic, many enterprises implemented work-from-home arrangements to minimise infection risks. However, to maintain public services accessible, many in the community had no choice but to continue working on-site. Among those included workers in the transport industry, who were worried that their livelihood might be affected if they got infected at work every day. Cyberport community member ZA Bank’s parent company ZhongAn International is joining forces with Uber to launch the “ZA x Uber Relief Program”. A total of HK$8 million will be allocated to this programme to give Uber drivers peace of mind during these difficult times. Until 11/7, Uber drivers who test positive for COVID-19 and are required to undergo compulsory quarantine will be eligible for the “ZA x Uber Relief Program” and receive a one-off HK$2,000 per driver financial assistance during the difficult times. This is the city’s first-of-its-kind COVID-19 relief program tailored for Uber drivers. For detailed information, please refer to the “ZA x Uber Relief Program.
