Accompanied by Alfred Sit, the Secretary for Innovation and Technology; Annie Choi, the Permanent Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Dr David Chung, the Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology, and Dr George Lam, Chairman of Cyberport, the ITB Panel visited Cyberport on 4 May to understand the development of Cyberport and its future direction.

Members first received a briefing from Cyberport Management on the development and future direction of Cyberport, followed by a tour to Entrepreneurship Centre. They also visited the office of Roborn, alumnus of Cyberport Incubation Programme, to learn about their robotics solutions.  Members then visited the co-working space of Cyberport, Smart-Space 3F, to exchange views of Hong Kong’s innovation and technology development with Cyberport community companies Bull.B Tech, Talon Esports and Riskflo.

Members then visited the IT Street of Cyberport to view a robotics demonstration of Rice Robotics HK. They also visited the live streaming studio and smart living concept store.

Members participating in the visit are the Chairman Hon Junius Ho, Deputy Chairman Hon Chan Kin-por, and members Hon Elizabeth Quat, Hon Chung Kwok-pan and Hon Michael Tien.

LegCo members visited the office of Roborn, alumnus of Cyberport Incubation Programme, and took a photo with the robots.

During the tour, LegCo members visited IT Street and took a group photo with the primary school students participating in a digital tech workshop. The event was held by Cyberport start-up FutureNow.
