Cyberport is joining the Think Asia, Think Hong Kong again this September in Los Angeles to showcase Hong Kong’s promising start-ups to the world.

 

The program includes a symposium and panel sessions on a range of topical issues, including Hong Kong’s advantages for starting a business in Asia, dispute resolution, fintech development, and healthcare innovations.  It will also address hot issues like the acceleration in smart living, developments in digital entertainment, integration of design technology and business strategy, and Hong Kong’s strength as a professional services provider in the financial services sector.

 

Cyberport will host one of the thematic sessions under the theme “The Future of Smart Living and Digital Entertainment” to spotlight Hong Kong’s smart living and digital entertainment development.

 

Two panel discussions will feature inspiring exchange between Cyberport’s executives and innovative start-ups. Mr Duncan Chiu, Director of Cyberport, who will be chatting with Zunosaki’s Alvin Cheung, Unspun’s Walden Lam, MAD Gaze’s Chelsea Miu and Origami Labs’s Kevin Wong.   These start-ups, which specialise in smart robotic gloves (for stroke rehabilitation), additive apparel manufacturing, augmented reality glasses and smart ring respectively, will offer their takes on “Smart Living Innovations” in Hong Kong.

 

On another panel discussion, Mr Peter Yan, CEO of Cyberport, will examine “The Power of Creativity in Digital Entertainment” with GJS Limited’s Winson Kwok, Redspots Creative’s Kevin Lee, and Godzpeed Autosport’s Tristan Lo. They will share their work in gaming robots, interactive media, and esports and outlook on Hong Kong’s digital entertainment development.

 

In addition to the symposium, seven Cyberport community companies will showcase their products and solutions at the InnoVenture Salon with Cyberport at the event.

 

Think Asia, Think Hong Kong is a prominent international promotion organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to highlight Hong Kong’s pivotal role in connecting Asia’s vibrant and expanding markets to the rest of the world. The programme includes a main symposium, a high-level dinner, thematic breakout sessions, Hong Kong start-up showcase, as well as consultation with Hong Kong service providers and business matching meetings.
