Online shopping made greener during COVID by alfred24

The fifth wave of the COVID epidemic has further promoted the adoption of online shopping. And the plastic packaging needed in the delivery process has also surged. To reduce the impact of plastic waste, Cyberport incubation programme alumnus alfred24 has partnered with the Invisible Company and launched a water-soluble packaging solution that is non-toxic and leaves no harmful residue on earth. The packaging can instantly dissolve their product packaging in hot water, or dispose of it knowing that it will truly biodegrade in landfill conditions.

alfred24 has already used biodegradable packaging but now, merchants have the option to use an invisible bag. alfred24’s click and collect model also reduces delivery vehicles well as carbon emissions. With major online shopping platforms integrated and a network of 180 smart lockers in Hong Kong, alfred24 has helped make our online selling and shopping easier and greener!

As Hong Kong’s digital technology flagship and incubator for entrepreneurship, Cyberport encourages the adoption of smart technologies in various sectors. To learn more about alfred24, please visit: https://www.alfred24.com.hk/
