The DELF 2020 virtual event platform warmly concluded after opening for a whole month since the event kicked start from 11 December 2020.  The event has attracted over 600,000 combined views across DELF’s various channels, with online attendees tuning in from 30 countries/regions for the knowledge exchange, game tournaments, start-up showcases, pitching contest, games, and rewards fun and more.

The insightful sharing by the record-high of 70+ iconic speakers in the esports and digital entertainment fields around world covering almost 40 inspiring topics were available via video-on-demand in the event platform, which will soon be viewable too on Cyberport’s Youtube channel.  DELF is an important annual extravaganza championing Hong Kong’s esports and digital entertainment development, connecting experts, industry practitioners, corporations and brands, tech enthusiasts, youth and general public through thought leadership, collaborations and venture opportunities, which are conducive to driving the ecosystem development from competitions, technology innovation to career.

Our DELF speakers also enjoyed great virtual experiences.

“It's been a pleasure being a part of DELF 2020 and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share about Riot's vision for mobile esports in Southeast Asia. Events like DELF help drive the industry forward and continue to help companies bridge new partnerships and connections,” said Chris Tran, Head of Esports - Southeast Asia, Hong Kong & Taiwan, Riot Games.

“The key takeaways of DELF have always been about the latest cutting-edge technology globally where there is blockchain gaming or event NFT tokens. Esportification in my perspective will slowly permutate within society. Not only limited to elite gamers that can earn decent income from competitions, but blockchain, especially in e-gaming, will allow people from all over the world to have the opportunity to participate in competitive sports,” said Galen Law-Kun from PwC Crypto Team.

“DELF has proven again to be the reference event in Hong Kong where local and international experts meet to share knowledge about this growing industry of the competitive gaming. Very happy to have been part of this successful event,” said Eduard Castell, Delegate of LaLiga in Hong Kong

“DELF is a spectacular chance for all industry movers at the forefront of ideas to exchange insights. I am beyond happy to be here and can’t wait to see the industry go viral!” said Alex Yeung, Executive Director, Emperor Group.

Cyberport’s esports and digital entertainment community and its range of initiatives (particularly the Esports Industry Facilitation Scheme and Esports Internship Scheme) stand ready to continue accentuate Hong Kong’s esports ecosystem development.

Cyberport looks forward to seeing you all in the next edition of DELF!
