Cyberport start-up Farmacy, a pioneering innovator in urban hydroponic farming, has further extended its farm-to-table dining concept with the recent opening of new Interval x Farmacy café at Cyberport and Tseung Kwan O.  By closing the distance between farm and people, the start-up aspires to expand its go-green movement towards helping cities become more self-sufficient in their food production, be it F&B groups, residentials, supermarkets or even schools and other establishments.

“Thanks to Cyberport for offering us valuable advice and business network, we are able to swiftly collaborate with business partners, capitalise on our technology and collect more customer feedback for further improvements,’ said Raymond Mak, co-founder and CEO of Farmacy. “We will be building a huge indoor Smart Mobile Farm under the renovation of Le Meridien Hong Kong at Cyberport.”  To further promote the development of Farmacy, Cyberport has facilitated the start-up to utilise some of its meeting spaces as an indoor farm to enhance research and development.

MyTea Solutions Limited, another fast-growing Cyberport start-up, offers smart beverage solutions for today’s digitised city.  Its first-in-Hong Kong smart beverage vending machine automatically mixes the ordered drinks in real time, offering customers convenience round-the-clock in getting fresh and tasty “hand-crafted” tea. MyTea’s Co-founders TK Wong and Michael Lo appreciated Cyberport’s support and advice, and its first-generation model at Cyberport installed in 2020 has helped provide useful data and experience for enhancement.  Its new model of vending machine will offer wider drink selections, more eco-friendly packaging, better user interface, and also QR code scanning features to cater sales promotion or customer incentives.  The new model will arrive at Cyberport campus this summer.  Stay tuned!
